4. Tap on the side of the hand point while repeating your setup statement three times.

5. Then, tap on the following points while repeating a reminder phrase that describes your anxiety or worry:

  • Eyebrow point: Tap on the inside of your eyebrows near the bridge of your nose.
  • Side of the eye: Tap on the bone just outside your eye, near your temple.
  • Under the eye: Tap on the bone just under your eye, in line with the pupil.
  • Under the nose: Tap on the area between your nose and upper lip.
  • Chin point: Tap on the crease between your lower lip and chin.
  • Collarbone point: Tap on the bone just below your collarbone, near the center of your chest.
  • Underarm point: Tap on the side of your body, about 4 inches below your armpit.

6. After tapping on all the points, take a deep breath and rate the intensity of your anxiety or worry again. If it’s still high, you can repeat the process, starting with the side of the hand point, using the same setup statement or modifying it to fit your current feelings.

7. Once you’ve reduced the intensity of your anxiety or worry to a comfortable level, you can finish the tapping by tapping on the top of your head, taking a deep breath, and releasing the worry or anxiety.
